Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?

A:  I started freelancing in 2005 as a social media consultant. In 2013 I led a digital marketing agency. I loved the opportunities that being part of an agency operation provided me, but I missed many of the aspects of freelancing. My current company, Amplified Concepts is a freelancer collaborative that provides agency resources to freelancer and allows us to work on a wide variety of projects from varied industries.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Johns Creek, and what do you love there?

A: I like Adobo on Jones Bridge Rd., next to Publix. They have a great margaritas and amazing Guacamole.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in Johns Creek?

A: We moved here in 1999 before there was a Johns Creek. It was Alpharetta back then.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met in Johns Creek?

A: The Chattahoochee High School Band director, Nick Garafalo. He is full of energy, creative ideas and passion for music and the kids he instructs. The performances he puts together are always entertaining and it is really fun to watch him conduct a piece of music.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?

A: Iceland. One of my husband’s peers was recently in Iceland and posted amazing pictures on Facebook so now we have the urge to go to Iceland.

Q: What is your favorite movie OR what is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?

A: The first movie I remember seeing with my family was E.T.  There are several movies that can be listed as my favorite movie, but I do love period pieces. Two that top that list would be Shakespeare in Love and Ever After.

Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?

A: Learn how to quickly identify opportunities that enable you to do work that you are passionate about.

Q:  Aside from travel, what is something on your bucket list?

A:  I have at least a dozen book that I have started to write. I look forward to being a published author one day.

Q:  What is your favorite music/band that you would like to see (dead or alive)?

A:  Paul McCartney.

Q:  What current / former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Johns creek?

A:   Ace Hardware. The family that runs that store is so incredibly helpful and it is a pleasure to go there.

Q:  Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative: with whom would you love to have lunch? Where in Johns Creek would you have lunch?

A:  Terry Gross from National Public Radio. We would have brunch at Egg Harbor Café and sit outside on a cool afternoon.

Q:  What is your favorite thing or something unique about Johns Creek?

A:  The diversity of the population. There are people from so many countries and of different backgrounds and religions. It is like having pieces of the whole world in your backyard.

Q:  Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?

A:   The world changes so fast that I work to stay relevant to how I can contribute to what the world needs at the moment. When I got my marketing degree, Mark Zuckerberg was 14 years old and not thinking about Facebook yet. When I started working in social media, smart phones did not exist yet. Now I help people with automation and leveraging the gig economy. I have resigned to the fact that I cannot predict where I will be in the future I can just work to keep up.

Q:  What is something interesting that most people (including family and friends) don’t know about you?

A:  I love lightening storms. I miss living in Florida because of this.

A:  Comfort, Inspiring, a place to entertain guest.

Q:  If you were cast into a major motion picture and had your choice of anyone to be your co-star, who would you choose?

A:  Tina Fey. She’s funny but seriously professional.

Q:  If you had a full-time staff member that was fully paid for, who would you choose?                                                                  Chef, Housekeeper, Driver, Coach, Physical Fitness Trainer, or Nanny ?

A:  A driver. I commute to all corners of metro Atlanta and it would be great to sit back and just ride.
