Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?

A: I worked with my wife in her graphic and web design company managing the business and operations side of things. 4 years into it, I realized this this was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. By 2007, she encouraged me to figure out what I wanted to do; that was the push I needed…to figure out what I really wanted to do in my life. In thinking about the things, I had done in the past, I really loved speaking and developing people. This always came to the top of the list, so I figured I would make this my life’s work and that’s how it started.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Johns Creek, and what do you love there?

A:  Le Mekong is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. The food is delicious and the Chef cooks with a passion, and loves to try new things. I love the ambiance, the staff, the owners, and their story.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in Johns Creek?

A:  We moved here in 2005; so 14 years.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?  And why?

A:  It would be Australia; it’s somewhere I have an interest in visiting.

Q: What is your favorite movie OR what is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?

A:  My favorite movie is Top Gun and the first movie that I ever saw in a theater was Saturday Night Fever.

Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?

A:  You were born with certain talents. Identify what they are and be intentional about developing and using them in your career. Your talents will be used in the fulfillment of your purpose. Often, people start looking for their passion. You don’t look for passion, passion finds you if you are engaged in your gifts and actively using them.

Q:  Aside from travel, what is something on your bucket list?

A:   I would like to get my Pilot’s License and learn to fly.

Q:  What is your favorite music/band that you would like to see (dead or alive)?

A:   One that I’ve already seen is Andrea Bocelli, and would love to see him again. Adele and Celine Dion are on that list as well. I wish I got to see Michael Jackson.

Q: Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative: with whom would you love to have lunch? Why?  Where in Johns Creek would you have lunch?

A:  Walter Isaacson. He has written biographies of creative people such as Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, and Leonardo de Vinci.  I like the way he writes and would like to find out why and how he chooses the people he writes about. I think it would be an interesting conversation to ask him how curiosity drives creativity. I’m trying to figure out which comes first…”does curiosity drive creativity or creativity drive curiosity?”

Q:  What is your favorite thing or something unique about Johns Creek?

A:  It’s a relatively new city but the history of the area itself is very rich. Johns Creek is striving to be a “Live, Work, Play and Grow city.”

Q: What is something interesting that most people (including family and friends) don’t know about you?

A:  I think I’m an open book, so between friends and family, I doubt if I have any secrets.

Q:  What 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?

A:   Wife, Calm, and Beauty. Home is where she is.

Q:  If you were cast into a major motion picture and had your choice of anyone to be your co-star, who would you choose?

A:  Denzel Washington and Samuel L. Jackson

Q:  If you had a full-time staff member that was fully paid for, who would you choose?                   Chef, Housekeeper, Driver, Coach, Physical Fitness Trainer, or Nanny?

A:  A Chef and a Coach.
